Hydrating vs. Moisturizing the Hair.... What’s the Difference?

Hydrating vs. Moisturizing the Hair

What’s the Difference?

Hydrating the Hair- The process of using humectants, proteins, amino acids and critical vitamins that penetrate the hair fiber infusing and improving the absorption of water and nutrients so that the hair holds and retains moisture.

Moisturizing the Hair- The process of using butters and oils to coat the OUTER surface of the hair fiber sealing and locking down the hair shaft so moisture can not get in or out of the fiber.

Simply Put….FIRST you HYDRATE the hair to penetrate, absorb & nourish the hair from within. THEN you seal and lock down the hair shaft with a MOISTURIZER to keep the moisture in the hair.

I have to give 4 stars because I haven't been able to restock on my hydrating butter creme!! Please restock!

Coming back

I love this style. I've used this product a few years ago and I'm glad to be back to it.

The best product ever

The Jelle Style Defines my hair every time. I love this product

LOVE IT!!!!

I am transitioning and this is the only product along with Shea Moisture that my hair loves. I have low porosity hair and this makes my natural hair and permed end so manageable. I get no more breakages (make sure I trim every 6 weeks). My natural curls love the hydration too. Strong recommendation. Don't change anything about this product !!

Superb!

I love the hydration products. It does just as it says! I love the smell and emollient texture of the product. It is perfect for adding moisturizing. I adjust amount depending upon the look I want to achieve! I am thankful to have found the best product on the market for my natural hair after YEARS of searching and experimenting.
