Hydrating vs. Moisturizing the Hair.... What’s the Difference?

Hydrating vs. Moisturizing the Hair

What’s the Difference?

Hydrating the Hair- The process of using humectants, proteins, amino acids and critical vitamins that penetrate the hair fiber infusing and improving the absorption of water and nutrients so that the hair holds and retains moisture.

Moisturizing the Hair- The process of using butters and oils to coat the OUTER surface of the hair fiber sealing and locking down the hair shaft so moisture can not get in or out of the fiber.

Simply Put….FIRST you HYDRATE the hair to penetrate, absorb & nourish the hair from within. THEN you seal and lock down the hair shaft with a MOISTURIZER to keep the moisture in the hair.

My Hair is In Love

The best cleanser for my hair

//THE MANIPULATOR// Creme Jelle STYLER, 8oz.

My favorite natural hair products

Still my favorite, I buy the Hydrator and the Styler. Great value and my hair loves them both.

I was very happy with this product! The shine, the moisture, the definition. It gave exactly what it said it would give. I will definitely be using this product again, it left my hair feeling so shiny and soft, there were no flakes and my hair felt so light. Would recommend!

//KNOW IT ALL!// Auto Correcting MASQUE, 8oz.

The hair masque is thick and creamy. My curls are moisturized while using the masque with a heat cap for 30 minutes.
